What To Expect

  • Guest dosing is usually approved for a limited number of days

  • Each facility has its own rules.

The sooner you let us know your travel plans the better. Please notify your counselor or a Care Coordinator as early as possible so we have time to coordinate your guest dosing or take-home arrangement.

🕑 Aim to give at least 2 days’ notice BEFORE your guest dosing is to begin.

Traveling to Columbus and Need Medication Services?

If you’re enrolled in another opioid treatment program and traveling to the Columbus area, CompDrug may be able to help based on availability and clinical criteria.

If you need to guest dose while in town, your home treatment facility needs to fill out a Guest Dosing Request.

What To Expect

What YOU need to bring

  • Valid, Photo ID

  • $20 Daily Payment, unless Ohio insurance

  • A lockbox or bag is required on Saturday for Sunday & Holiday take-home medication

What YOUR home clinic must send

  • Guest dose request submitted electronically

  • Medication order

  • Signed Authorization

Guest Dosing Guidelines

Guest dose request MUST be submitted electronically using the form HERE, No Exceptions.

Guest dosing request must be received two (2) business days before guest dosing begins.

Visiting patients will not receive medication above 200 milligrams per day.

Visiting patients must provide a daily negative BAC test before receiving any medication.

Maximum guest dosing period is 14 days, with the possibility of an additional 14 days. Any requests beyond 28 days require special approval.
