About Diana
I am a board-certified, professionally licensed art therapist and licensed professional clinical counselor practicing in Ohio, with over twenty years of clinical experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. My current focus is supporting adults in recovery from substance use disorders.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and groups experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, family concerns, and co-occurring emotional and developmental conditions.
My counseling approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based counseling, and trauma-informed care. These research-supported methods help clients develop insight, strengthen coping skills, enhance emotional regulation, and build motivation for meaningful change.
I tailor interventions collaboratively, considering each personโs unique needs, values, and stage of recovery, with an emphasis on sustainable growth and long-term wellness.
I also offer art therapy as an evidence-based, complementary modality that supports both verbal and nonverbal expression. No prior artistic experience is necessary. In counseling and art therapy, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment that honors each personโs lived experience, strengths, and personal goals.
I am a graduate of Ursuline College and Kent State University and remain committed to ongoing professional development through continuing education. In 2003, I published Phototherapy Life Books: Improving Self-Esteem and Psychosocial Perceptions for Individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Learning Disabilities. Outside of my clinical work, I value creative expression through hands-on art and meaningful social connection.
