Kim Welsh, LICDC
Counselor
Get to know Kim (she / her)
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in the state of Ohio, with more than 24 years of experience in the counseling field. I earned a BS in Accounting from The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Counseling from Liberty University.
I am passionate about helping individuals find healing, clarity, and hope no matter where they are on their journey. My clinical work is grounded in trauma-informed care and guided by a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.
I am trained in and utilize EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. Together, we identify and address the root of the problem, build strengths and insight, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
My areas of focus include trauma, addiction, grief and loss, mood disorders, life transitions, and emotional regulation. Prior to entering the counseling profession, I spent 20 years working in Human Resources and Finance at a Fortune 500 company, giving me additional insight into workplace stress, organizational dynamics, and life balance.
Seeking support takes courage. My goal is to provide a compassionate and collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward lasting change. I speak English and can also arrange interpreter services for most languages.
